Machines auction for charity at second edition of AVR Green Select Days

Description

In 2023, AVR, a manufacturer of a full range of potato harvesting machines and a world player in that market segment, launched a new brand to actively take control of the used machinery market: AVR Green Select.

After a successful first edition, which led the sales of used machines to increase by more than 50%, AVR is again inviting all interested parties on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 July with a special touch: on Saturday evening, some of the machines on offer will be auctioned for the benefit of  charity.

AVR GREEN SELECT CENTRE

The second edition of the AVR Green Select Days also marks the opening of the AVR Green Select Centre. This location near the company headquarters in Roeselare will now serve as the main base for used machinery and is therefore the location of choice to host this second edition.

During the event, customers can discover the range of used machines at attractive promotional prices. The two-day event will conclude with a charity auction. And of course, some refreshments will be provided too.

Charity auction

'What characterises AVR is that as a family business, we remain a warm and approachable player despite our growth. Being close to our customers and dealers is part of our identity. We believe it is the key to our continued success and sustainable growth', Sales & Marketing Director Maarten De Smet says.

'We want to take that warm aspect further. After some internal collections for charity, we were looking for a playful way to take this to the next level', AVR Green Select Manager Stein Rommelaere adds. 'During the AVR Green Select Days, we will combine what is useful and what is meaningful at an auction of used machines. We will donate the proceeds to charity. An AVR machine on the market, a satisfied customer and a donation to charity: win-win-win.'

From 4pm onwards, people can bid on second-hand machines at very attractive prices. And if they buy a machine live at auction, they don't pay any auction fees.

AVR and auction house Auctim will donate the proceeds and auction fees to the Warmest Week charity event*. 'This year, the event is dedicated to the fight against loneliness, an issue that is unfortunately also very topical in the agricultural sector, so we are happy to do our bit to help', Stein concludes.

If you can't be there physically, you can bid by phone. You do need to register for this in advance. More information is available at www.avr.be.

* 'The Warmest Week' (de Warmste Week) is a Belgian solidarity campaign organised in December each year. A different theme is chosen each year in support of different appropriate charities.

Why choose AVR Green Select?

'The used machinery market is a fully-fledged market in its own right and also deserves our dedication. You can offer solutions for any budget and any situation, and you can give older machines that are still in perfect working order a second life.'

Maarten De Smet, AVR Sales & Marketing Director

AVR Green Select

Stein Rommelaere is at the company helm. He has years of experience in the AVR service department and knows better than anyone what a used machine has to offer.

'Quality retains its value, even in a used machine. That is the aim of AVR Green Select: to offer quality at an attractive price.'

To ensure this quality, our own specialist technicians inspect and adjust the AVR Green Select machines before they are sold. AVR also provides a warranty on your used machine, and you can count on its support when you start using the machine or you need any advice on spare parts.

'In short, AVR Green Select ensures that you can count on AVR's service and quality as if you were buying a new machine.'

Stein Rommelaere, AVR Green Select Manager.

Leasing: not just for new machines

In addition to the AVR Green Select brand, the company also launched AVR Finance in 2023. Ever since last year, AVR customers can opt for a financial lease or an operating lease for used machines as well as new machines. This allows them to keep investing in a targeted way without making any compromises on flexibility.
